On June 25, 2025, deputies from the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Jessi Bryant, a 41-year-old male, near Oak Street and St. Rose Avenue in St. Rose. According to authorities, Bryant was seen riding a motorized bicycle at high speed on the parish levee and on a residential street, both of which are prohibited areas for such activity.

Deputies attempted to stop Bryant, but he did not comply with their instructions. Eventually, law enforcement officers were able to conduct a traffic stop and take him into custody. He was then transported to the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center (NCCC) and booked on several charges: flight from an officer, reckless operation without accident, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, violating regulations concerning vehicles on parish levees, and fugitive warrant arrests.

The sheriff’s office encourages anyone with information about this incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-877-903-STOP. Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for up to $2,500 in rewards.

Sheriff Greg Champagne stated: “Anyone with information regarding this incident(s) is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-877-903-STOP. Citizens do not have to give their names or testify, and could receive up to $2,500.”
