St. Charles Parish deputies arrest man for drug offenses during traffic stop

On February 23, 2026, deputies from the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Brenton Jarrow, a 27-year-old male, during a traffic stop at LA 18 and Homeplace Lane in Hahnville. According to the sheriff’s office, deputies detected the smell of marijuana coming from Jarrow’s vehicle and observed him smoking while an infant child was present.

A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of marijuana. Jarrow was taken into custody and transported to the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center (NCCC), where he was booked on charges including possession of marijuana, smoking in motor vehicles-prohibited, resisting an officer, and an attachment arrest.

The sheriff’s office encourages anyone with information about this incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-877-903-STOP. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,500.

“Anyone with information about the incident(s) below is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-877-903-STOP. Citizens do not have to give their names or testify and may receive up to a $2,500.00 reward,” stated Sgt. Jenni Barrette, Public Information Officer for the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
