The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office announced on April 8 that it is investigating two incidents that occurred in St. Rose earlier this month, including a vehicle theft and an act of criminal damage to property.

These cases are important as they may affect the sense of safety among residents and visitors in the community, especially with one incident involving a local hotel and another targeting a church.

According to the sheriff’s office, a vehicle was reported stolen from the parking lot of Comfort Inn at 10151 Airline Highway on April 3. The case has been assigned incident number 2601587.

In a separate event also on April 3, anti-religious wording was discovered written on the building of New Vision Baptist Church at 10868 River Road in St. Rose. This incident has been logged under number 2601597.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about these incidents to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-877-903-STOP. The sheriff’s office stated, “Citizens do not have to give their names or testify and may receive up to a $2,500.00 reward.”

The sheriff’s office continues its investigation into both matters.
