On June 24, 2025, the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office made two arrests related to domestic abuse cases.

According to a statement from the Sheriff’s Office, deputies were patrolling Paul Fredrick Street in Luling when they saw Rollan Martin, 29, outside a residence. Deputies recognized Martin as having an active arrest warrant. They approached him and took him into custody without incident. He was then transported to the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center (NCCC) and booked on charges of domestic abuse battery resulting in minor injury.

In a separate case, Steven Brumley, 47, was transferred from the Lafourche Parish Correctional Center to NCCC. The transfer was based on an outstanding warrant stemming from an incident that occurred in October 2023 in Des Allemands. Brumley faces charges of domestic abuse battery by strangulation.

The Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information about these incidents to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-877-903-STOP. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,500.
