The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office announced on March 4 the arrest of Michael Early Jr., age 42, in connection with a felony theft charge.

The announcement is important for residents as it highlights ongoing law enforcement efforts to address criminal activity and encourages community involvement through Crime Stoppers.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies encountered Early at 14655 Old Spanish Trail in Paradis while responding to an unrelated incident. During this encounter, they discovered that Early had an outstanding warrant related to a previous incident that occurred in October 2024 in Luling. He was taken into custody and transported to the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center, where he was booked on the felony theft charge.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about this or related incidents to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-877-903-STOP. The sheriff’s office noted that callers do not have to provide their names or testify and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,500.

The sheriff’s office continues its efforts to involve the public in solving crimes and maintaining safety within the parish.
