The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office has released details on several recent arrests in the area, with incidents ranging from battery to weapons charges.

On February 17, Sherron Dupriest, 39, was arrested at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center (NCCC) in Killona for criminal mischief. According to the sheriff’s office, Dupriest became agitated during her arrest on drug charges and urinated in the back of a police vehicle. Since she was already incarcerated at NCCC, she was re-booked for this additional offense.

Kenya Williams, 25, was taken into custody on February 17 after deputies responded to a disturbance involving Williams and a male individual at a residence on Turtle Creek Lane in St. Rose. The sheriff’s office stated that “Williams struck the male several times.” She was transported to NCCC and booked accordingly.

Corey Hammett, 39, faces multiple charges following an incident reported on Ridge Road in Des Allemands on February 15. Witnesses told deputies that Hammett swung a baseball bat at several people before retrieving a shotgun and firing it toward individuals and a house. Deputies were initially unable to locate Hammett but later found him with assistance from Lafourche Parish deputies in Thibodaux. The sheriff’s office reported that “while being transported, Hammett threatened to harm two deputies.” He was booked at NCCC for possession of firearm/carrying concealed weapon by a convicted felon; attempted aggravated battery (three counts); aggravated assault upon peace officer (two counts); and illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities (two counts).

Ambria Davis, 33, was arrested on February 16 after deputies responded to a disturbance between Davis and another female at South Kinler Street in Boutte. Witnesses said Davis entered a residence without permission and struck the other woman several times. Davis faces charges of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, simple battery, and an attachment arrest.

Amber Landry, 37, was arrested following an incident reported on Calcagno Street in Montz on February 14. Deputies responded to what they described as a disturbance between two females. Landry is charged with domestic abuse battery-child endangerment.

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information about these incidents to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-877-903-STOP. Callers may remain anonymous and could receive up to $2,500 as a reward.
