The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office announced on July 15 a series of arrests made between July 10 and July 14, involving charges ranging from resisting an officer to aggravated assault with a firearm.
These incidents highlight ongoing law enforcement efforts in the parish and provide insight into the types of offenses being addressed by local authorities.
Among those arrested was Damien Coleman, 18, who deputies said initially refused to stop for a traffic violation at I-310 and Airline Highway in St. Rose before being taken into custody for resisting an officer, aggravated flight from an officer, failure to display a license plate, and illegal window tint. Jenea Ingram, also 18, was arrested at a residence on Paul Fredrick Street in Luling after allegedly destroying property during an argument and assaulting another female. Deputies said she resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody.
Devon Harris, 22, was identified by Walmart staff as having shoplifted on several occasions; he fled on foot when deputies arrived but was later apprehended in a nearby neighborhood. Derek Swan, 34, was arrested following a domestic incident in New Sarpy that involved minor children being present during what deputies described as a physical altercation.
George Polly III, 35, was transported from Lafourche Parish Correctional Center to the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center (NCCC) for booking on an outstanding warrant related to monetary instrument abuse stemming from an incident in January 2023. Nehemiah Coleman, 19, faced charges of aggravated assault with a firearm and simple battery after allegedly discharging a handgun at another male during an incident in Boutte.
Allen Lemoine, 66, was arrested for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling after cameras captured him entering and urinating inside a house under construction on Cypress Drive in Luling. He was located at his residence and booked accordingly.
