Gas was priced at $2.29 per gallon.

The week’s cheapest midgrade gas price in Ascension Parish stood at $3.99 per gallon in the week ending May 9.
For the week ending May 9, the lowest reported price of regular gas in St. Charles Parish stood at $3.67 per gallon.
Drivers in St. James Parish reported a weekly low of $4.99 per gallon for diesel gas in the week ending May 9.
