How many white students were enrolled in St. Charles Parish schools in 2023-24 school year?

There were 4,613 white students enrolled in St. Charles Parish schools in the 2023-24 school year, 2.2% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that St. Charles Parish welcomed 8,991 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, white students comprised 51.3% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the parish.

Among the 15 schools within the parish, Hahnville High School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 742 students.

Louisiana's educational performance is among the lowest in the nation, according to a WalletHub analysis. The state was ranked 47th overall, based on factors such as class size, student performance, funding, school safety, and teacher qualifications.
