There were 883 multiracial students enrolled in Ascension Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 9.4% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that Ascension Parish School District welcomed 23,815 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, multiracial students comprised 3.7% of the student body to be the fourth most represented ethnicity in the district.

Ascension Parish School District roughly covers schools within Ascension Parish and has a main office in Donaldsonville.

Among the 32 schools in Ascension Parish School District, St. Amant High School and Dutchtown High School recorded the highest enrollment of multiracial students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 63 students.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021–22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
